Information
ARRIVAL:
Turn water pump on downstairs - power switch on the wall at the left end of the laundry bench.
Hot water - either light the fire, or turn on electric hotwater cylinder (inside cupboard by fire).
Coal and wood for the fire in shed on the hill, to the right of the house.
Please replace any food used during your stay. Coal, petrol and LPG (BBQ) can be purchased from the garage, down beside the Community Centre. Garage is open weekdays, and Saturday mornings.
DEPARTURE:
Please leave all windows closed and lights off. Turn off electric hotwater.
Make sure washing machine is turned off at the wall, and replace the dust cover.
Please leave the fire as you found it - preferably ashes emptied into the ashcan, and fire set ready to light for the next people.
Rubbish & recyclables are collected on Tuesdays - left at the corner point of the three driveways.
Turn off the water pump and outside light switch.
THE CAR:
Welcome to use it, petrol available at garage, replace what you use. We like to leave the car's battery on trickle charge while not being used. This is the black battery charger, reconnect & turn on before you go. (The red charger cant be left attached to the battery)
Try & keep wet dive suits contained in bags in the car
THE OUTSIDE BATH:
Filled with cold water from tap, then heated with wood fire beneath. Empty the next day - as letting out the hot water will both kill any vegetation & probably crack the bath. Main worry is FIRE. Don't use if windy. Closely supervise any fire please.
Problems? neighbours are always helpful.
